Reporting to the Director, Human Resources and partnering very closely with the Operations leadership teams in our Cornwall manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for managing day to day training and development related matters. This position provides support to employees on a variety of Human Resources functions. Role Description:
The Training and Development Manager, based in Cornwall, Ontario, is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that support technical and nontechnical skills, leadership development, and staff effectiveness.
This role serves a broad and diverse teams.
The Training and Development Manager will oversee the development of curriculum, delivering methods, and learning resources tailored for a variety of employees, including in-person sessions, online modules, and blended learning environments.
This position requires a passion for personal and employee development, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in adult learning with a track record of designing and executing successful training programs.
- Hands-on Training and Development role
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment industry
- Skilled in curriculum development and varied teaching methodologies, including in-person, online learning, mentorship, workshops, and simulations.
- Proficiency with a variety of teaching tools and platforms, such as Learning Management Systems, virtual meeting software, e-learning content creators, and assessment tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Management experience overseeing technical and salaried staff.
- Superior collaborative and teamwork skills with the ability to quickly shift priorities to meet organization requirements collectively
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams.
- Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of a dynamic work organization.
- Strong writing and documentation abilities for training material development and reporting.
- Confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information, maintaining trust and respect within the organization.
Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 per year
