On Thursday, July 4th, Morbern celebrated a significant milestone: Morbern Europe’s 10th anniversary! Guests gathered at the company’s Wevelgem, Belgium, Business & Design Centre to celebrate.
“Bringing Morbern’s products to Europe has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career to date. The 10th anniversary coincides with my own time at the company,” says Carine Equeter, Vice President of Morbern® Europe.
“This last decade has been filled with challenges to adapt the Morbern offer to the European market requirements,” said Equeter. “Ten years on, we are industry-leading pioneers of highly sustainable coated fabrics solutions, not only in Europe but also globally.”
Under Equeter’s leadership of Morbern Europe, there have been many successes. The Morbern Europe website was launched in 2019 and the company was one of the Cruise Ship Interiors show pioneer exhibitors. After a first nomination for the outdoor digital print vinyl Americana in 2016, the newly launched Evohide® received a special mention at the 2021 METSTRADE DAME Design Award. In the same year, Eden Free also achieved the much coveted OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification.
“Our enthusiasm to develop such innovative products is supported by an incredible team of people on both sides of the Atlantic and we look forward to continuing our rapid growth path over the next decade,” said Equeter.
For the celebration, Morbern welcomed more than 70 guests from Europe, the Middle East, and India to their Business and Design Centre in Belgium. The event, filled with food, drinks, music, and entertainment, had a distinct Canadian flavor in honor of Morbern’s Ontario headquarters’ 60 years in business.
