Splash™

Morbern’s R&D team set out to advance marine upholstery, adding performance features that improve the experience both for the manufacturer and the consumer.

Splash™

The sights, sounds and smells of life on the water are a balm to many, and one of the reasons they invest so much of their lives and resources in accessing it. Whether it’s a small fishing boat, a speed vessel for skiing or luxury liner, the goal and the outcome are the same–enjoyment. And in a season of uncertainty, the water has been an escape, a place to go when you can’t go anywhere else.

For decades, Morbern has been a major voice in marine supply, engineering high-performance surfaces that allow boat owners to enjoy the ride. From its first product many years ago to its newest construction, Splash, decades of thought, expertise and testing go into Morbern’s products for the marine market.

Recently, Morbern’s R&D team set out to advance marine upholstery, adding performance features that improve the experience both for the manufacturer and the consumer. The aptly named Splash™ is a highly tailorable construction that features 4-way stretch. The stretch allows the material to fit perfectly to any rounded edge on the boat cushions, leaving the boat looking perfectly finished without any defects.

Splash uses a pink-stain resistant vinyl formulation, the gold standard in the marine industry.  With UV protection and crack resistance, it’s ideal for use on boat interiors and exteriors. It can handle the weather with its mildew resistance, 1,000 hours of exposure under WeatherOmeter testing, and a cold crack rating of -25 degrees Fahrenheit.

And while Splash was originally designed for the marine market, the wide range of colors, excellent tailorability and significant wear resistance makes it a great choice for contract interiors as well.

Bon Voyage!
